SkreeLink was started back in 2006, though no real publication was made until 2008 with the start of a chatroom, then early 2009 with a new website. It started as two friends, close as brothers with many of the same interests; computers being the primary. The desire to help with computers and computer related problems came from knowing many other techs, local and otherwise, being unable to help even with the simplest of cases.
Unknown_Entity, you can ask for his name in a personal email, has a Bachelor's Degree of Computer Science from the University of Michigan; Dearborn campus, and has been working with computers for many many years.
Masterlink, same principle for name, although has no degree, retains a natural talent for working out problems with logical situations, and has many accounts successful 'Tech-Solutions' that many others could not. Such as; repairing a lab of school computers that an ITT graduate could not repair; whilst still a class member in High School.
The image on the main page is a screenshot of Masterlink's Gentoo install; a Linux OS that you basically build yourself from a command prompt. Customizing a computer's look and function are not as difficult as it may appear, you can be provided with screenshots of other Windows and other OSes upon request. If it's a slow computer, just wanting to understand something, wanting to know alternative programs to windows default, or just wanting to have a 'cool' look, SkreeLink can help. Other major problems can also be solved, given the time to solve them.
On a difference from other sites, our site is simple, yes. We keep it simple so you don't have to badger your way through page after page trying to get answers, straight forward and to the point gets your computer running better, faster. Many problems can be fixed by just speaking with us in the chatroom, navigated to from Here. Others, may just email and a couple of solutions emailed back to you to try on your own. Major problems may be solved in the future with possible mailing system to actually work on the hardware. Local help will be offered in the close future, as right now the site is in a very beginning simple form.
